Who is This For?

The Welcome To Project is for anyone who lives in West Cork and wants their town to be a place where is everyone is welcome and connected, whether they've lived here all their lives or recently arrived.

You don't need experience, qualifications, or a lot of free time.

You might be someone who

  • notices a new family at the school gate and wonders how they're settling in

  • is already involved in a club, community group, business or organisation and wants to make sure it feels welcoming for everyone

  • has moved to West Cork and knows from personal experience what helps people feel at home

  • feels concerned by growing division and wants to be part of the solution locally

  • wants to do something practical and positive to strengthen their local community and enjoys bringing people together

  • has skills or resources to share that can support this effort (e.g. meeting space, creative, language or organisational skills, etc.)

Your Role

Join Your Local "Welcome To" Group

You won't be doing this alone. You will be part of a local group of like-minded people. Together, you will identify opportunities, share ideas, and develop a practical plan.

Build Your Local Action Plan

Together, your group will develop a simple action plan based on the strengths, interests, and opportunities already present in your community.
